SOLD!
We had a lot of good times, baby. I’ll miss you.
This Four Winds Fun Mover has been my full time home since 2015 and has faithfully carried me from the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific Coast and back every year without fail. It is fantastically useful to be able to carry all your stuff around the country in a relatively small package that can get down some reasonable dirt tracks. The solar system lets you boondock off grid as long as your water supply holds out and the 5500 watt generator supplies backup power if the sky is cloudy.
I typically setup a base camp for one or two weeks at a time and use the motorcycle to get around. The aluminum ramp makes loading and unloading a breeze, though it does take a few minutes to set it up.
The engine has had regular oil and filter services, and the chassis has had substantial preventative maintenance in the last few years.

Cosmetic Issues
This motorhome has been used non-stop for ten years, and I recognize that it isn’t a show queen. The price reflects the mileage and cosmetic condition.
The exterior has a number of blemishes, with patches of delamination on both sides, though the paint has been buffed once a year and is in decent condition. Seams were resealed last Spring (2024). Last July, I had a new issue at the upper front right edge of the cab-over, and I resealed it stream-side in Wyoming. Just a few days before writing this, it split open again and I taped it with Eternabond before leaving for a job.
There are a few dings here and there from rubbing the tail on the odd fence or boulder.
The windscreen has a crack and 2 rock dings.
The interior also has some blemishes, small tears in upholstery etc. The couch was re-covered in 2022, but the material has worn badly and has a throw cover.
The Fun Mover started its life in New York so there is corrosion under the floor from the salty roads back east. It’s mostly cosmetic and hasn’t been a problem, other than making some mechanical jobs more difficult from rusted fasteners, like the rear axle U-bolts I replaced in 2022 to re-bush the springs.
There is a crack in the grey water tank at about 3/4 full, so it leaks before the full 30 gallon mark.
Known Issues
I’ve been rolling the last few years with an odd chirping noise that happens at a specific engine temperature, as in when departing a fuel stop after the engine has cooled slightly. It goes away when fully warm, and so I let the engine warm up before driving off. I suspect it is an emissions component, an air valve of some sort, but I have not been able to track it down. I’ve convinced myself it is no big deal, as it’s been more than 10,000 miles with no symptoms beyond the noise.
There is a very slight exhaust manifold leak when the engine is cold. Again, I let the engine come up to temp before moving off, and it silences itself.
One valve lifter has always (since I got the thing in 2015) taken a minute to pump up after being parked for a while, so it will make a tick tick tick sound for a minute or so when stone cold.
On my last trip out to Wyoming and Montana, I had the check engine light come on a number of times. I have a Bluetooth OBDII dongle plugged in to the port, and it showed codes P0209 and P0210, cylinder 9-10 injector circuit. I’ve cleared the codes with the app on my phone and continued on my way, without any symptoms. I suspect there is a chafed wire in the injector harness circuit, but I have not investigated.
