About Me

I’m Greg Stasko, a mechanic specializing in vintage automobiles, specifically pre-war European models including Alfa Romeo, Bugatti and Maserati.

Greg Stasko

I’ve been working on old cars since I was a kid with a ’74 Volvo that I would drive out to Lime Rock in Connecticut to watch IMSA GTP and vintage car events. I went to college  to be an industrial designer but also went to the Mechanics’ Training Program at the Jim Russell Racing School at Laguna Seca in 1990. I’ve been working on vintage cars ever since.

In 2006 I was fortunate to go to work at Phil Reilly & Co in Corte Madera, CA. My experience there included complete engine builds of the following:

  • Bugatti Type 35, 39, 57 & 59
  • Alfa Romeo 6C 1750, 8C 2300 & 8C 2900
  • Maserati 8CTF, A6 & Type 61
  • Hispano Suiza J-12
  • Duesenberg J
  • Lincoln KB V-12

Since 2015 I have been traveling to seek out new opportunities and new horizons, exploring the West in a 31′ motorhome with the tools of my trade and my avocation on board. Between work projects, I enjoy fly fishing, outdoor exploration and riding motorbikes.

I am available on a contract basis, either for a set time frame or to complete specific projects. If you have a project that is in need of skilled hands, I look forward to talking with you about how I may help.
